Umar has a strong educational background, having earned a 5 Year Integrated Master’s Degree in Applied Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. He also completed a Summer Abroad program at the University of Calabria and earned an AISSCE from Army Public School, Srinagar.
